    Hi,

I've just started a PLog on Heresy Online, If anyone here is interested I can put the link in here or have a duplicate log here.

I hoping it will keep me motivated to get my Army to the tabletop so I can start playing some 40K with you guys.

    Cheers, Leon.

My goal is to get a decent tabletop standard in relatively quick time with my limited skills.

Thanks, I have set myself a rule that I cannot field any unpainted units. This is because I will get lazy if I get into that habit. Also for some reason the pictures have had the right hand side clipped off.

I'm hoping that within a month I will have; 2x HQ, 3x Tactical squads, 2x Ravenwing squads, 1x Deathwing squad, 1x Devastator squad and 1x Veteran squad. Then I'll be back looking for someone to teach me the rules since I last play back at the beginning of 3rd edition!

Leon those are looking good. You have good brush control and you pick up detail well (looking at your chaplain). I really like your chaplain. If i could suggest that a more extreme highlight on the power armour would benefit the squad.

Good work, looking forward to your deathwing Smile(Painted my first deathwing the other night, to practice the bone/ white armour)

That is always the dream with everyone starting a new army haha.

Until last year i've been on a 8+ years paint free dry spell. I got fed up of seeing my models undercoated and just started getting some done to a basic tabletop standard. I now motivate myself to paint my models (even if it just means the first layer of the basic colour/s) by just fielding them in my next army list. I have slowed down a fair bit this month, but always try to make a conscious effort to get at least an hour or 2 every week.

It's good to see that the club has grown considerably in the volume and quality of painted models being used Smile

Will also be good to see when your fully painted Dark Angels army arrives to join us Smile

In the past I have always been terrible for having unpainted models, the army I had was a Saim Hann Eldar army with about 10 painted Guardians, 3 painted Jetbike and a painted Falcon, everything else was unpainted. My Dark Eldar never got past the undercoating stage!

This time WILL be different! damyou

That's what I'm trying to stick to, that way I can 'reward' myself with a few purchases upon completion of current models. I have finished my Plasma Cannon marine today, and hopefully I'll have an update with him, a completed sargeant (minus a head as I'm using a head from the Vet' box when it arrives), and a more completed Chaplain. I'm waiting for a particular paint in order to finish the brass parts and obviously the basing materials.

Nice going, really liking your DA, the Dark Vengeance DA are a fantastic base to start a sizeable force from.

Thanks, if it looks half as good as the pictures I have seen of your Blood Angels Army (I think you have BA?) I will be very happy.
I'm going to double up on the Dark Vengeance DA stuff to get up and running quickly, from then on I'll put some thought into what I buy and add for tactical and/or aesthetic reasons.
