Intro...

Hi,

I have recently moved over from the UK and have stumbled across this forum. I have been collecting 40k for about 15 years on and off, but had to sell all of my stuff to move over.

I plan to rebulid my Dark Angels army since the new Codex and models are out soon and they have always been my favourite (along with Eldar), if someone knows where the nearest store in Spain is for mini's,paint,etc, I would appreciate it.

Obviously it will take some time to get my army together so I won't be looking for a game anytime soon, but I wouldn't mind popping into the club sometime to meet some of you and watch some battles.

The club will re-open in the new year (5th Jan) so hope to see you then.
Also the nearest shop is in la-linea. Infact there are 2 shops. e-minis
www.e-minis.net and 'el caballero emburnado'.

I'd recommend the former one as it has a lot more war-gaming stuff, the latter one has more comics.

The have a decent amount of stock from all kind of game systems, paints, scenery, etc and can make orders for you (e.g. English codexes ).

Thanks guys that's excellent, I was led to believe that I would need to venture a lot further.

I will definitely check out the club next year, although without an army for some time I should think.

I've like the Facebook page, seems like you have a good group down there.

One more thing, does anywhere in Gib stock White Dwarf as my Spanish is rudimentry for now and I don't have an iPad for the the digital version.

I know you can buy white dwarf at Sacarello's newsagency along mainstreet (opposite Vijay). Maybe some of the other guys can say where they buy their copies from, i know there's other places but can't remember for sure right now.

In case you're wondering, you can't see e-minis on google street view, but trust us, it's there

Haha, it's funny you say that as I had a look on Google maps earlier. The shops seem to open and close hear so quickly from what I have seen so far I figured that they hadn't update the map recently, I plan to get down there ASAP.

No I am not familiar with the 6th ed. rules short of having read about them on forum, watched youtube vids, etc.. To be honest I haven't been familiar with the rule since 2nd and 3rd edition, so I'm almost going to be learning from scratch.

I hope to pop in on the 15th? and meet you all then.

Looks like I'll have no problem picking up White Dwarf then, thanks guys.

I popped into e-mini's today, a really nice little store and the staff were really friendly. Picked up a few paints, glue, tolls, etc.. since I'm starting from scratch again. I'm waiting for my parents to bring DV over from the UK since they are coming in January and all of the literature will be in English.

In the mean time I picked up some basic Space Marines to test out the Army Painter colour primer since I haven't used it before, had an absolute disaster with the first mini, I'll be trying again tomorrow with better results hopefully. If any of you use it any tips/review would be great.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all and thanks again for the directions, it was a godsend!

Yeah they are different to GW sprays. I've used them on my entire tyranid and eldar army and i think they are great.

Popped in today, I was a bit bewildered at first since I was greeted with a group of teenagers staring at me like I was some sort of Imperial Relic! But altough youg they were really nice lads, a shame I didn't get chance to meet more of you but I'll try to get down next week and put that to rights!

Anyway thanks to William, Ethan, Jamie, and a couple of others I look forward to next week.

yeah i had work today and couldnt attend so did some of the other seniors, next week we shall all be there, for 1st games of the ladder.

The lads that were there were a credit to the club, and I had to leave a bit early to take my Son to see the parade anyway. I figured the more senior members would be doing the same or working so it was no problem. Still, looking forward to meeting more of you guys though!
