I was just reading up on Librarium Online FAQ for Necrons and I was shocked to find how inaccurate they are.
"Q: What about the Vindicare assassin?
A: NEGATED! Read the monolith’s living metal rule well enough, and it even says that attacks made apun the monolith are made with UNAGMENTED STRENGTH."
= Blatantly wrong the codex specifically gives the assassin as an exception to the rule.
"Q: Can a unit Assult after teleporting through the monlith?
A: Yes, it counts as a stationary vehicle...of course that is also if the monolith does not move first. (that also means deep striking)"
= Blatantly wrong again!!! GW Necron FAQ states:
"Q. Can a Necron unit that teleports through a
Monolith’s portal move after emerging?
A. Only if the Monolith (and the teleporting unit)
hasn’t already moved that Movement phase. If the
unit has already moved before being teleported,
it may only be deployed within 2" of the portal; if
it hasn’t already moved, it may deploy out 2" and
then move normally."
"Moving" is done in the movement phase only, Run/Fleet is done in the shooting phase, Assault is done in the Assault phase. This rule only covers the "Movement Phase".
Its designed to prevent what used to happen pre-faq release (that the monolith could move 6 inches towards the enemy, teleport a unit which then moved and then assaulted - those were the days).
Another one of my favourites:
"Q: What does the Monolith’s Living metal rule affect?
A: It specifically states it denies 2d6 for armor pen, that's all."
Seriously has this guy read the army book at all???
Anyway my point for this rant is not to defend the Necron Army but to warn you guys who keep reading and treating some internet sources as gospel truth to be careful and to make sure you read the original source materials first then make your decision.
Bah!! Seriously? I couldnt believe the tripe that these guys were typing.
Total and utter b%ll*c"s
